Sustainability

Sustainable design is a passion at Kennerly Architecture & Planning.  Our approach identifies priorities and values with the client early in the design process, then builds upon this work to integrate stategies into the design, rather than post apply them.  Specialized areas of focus within the firm include Building Sciences/ Passive Design, Renewable Energy, and Healthy Building as it relates to materials, assemblies, and methods.

We believe good design creates lasting value.  People connect to flexible, durable, comfortable, and uplifting spaces.  This practical and emotional connection engenders care for those spaces in the future.

Sustainability is the ability to maintain or support a process over time, while also ensuring that the needs of the present are met without compromising the needs of future generations and creatures of the earth. We value stewardship of natural resources.
