Bill Sorro Community by Kennerly Architecture & Planning Wins AIA’s Best Housing Design of 2019

 

The American Institute of Architects selected 12 residential designs as the winners of their Housing Awards. In its 19th year, the program was created to celebrate the best in residential design for new construction, renovations, and restorations, and spans the following categories: one- and two-family custom residences, one- and two-family production homes, multifamily housing, and specialized housing. This year, a five-member jury evaluated designs for sustainability, affordability, innovation, social impact, client needs, and the natural and built environment. San Francisco’s Bill Sorro Community by Kennerly Architecture & Planning was selected for its combination of energy efficiency, air-quality, stormwater management, and gray water reuse.
